Chocolate and wafer log

The wafer and chocolate log is a quick and easy dessert to make, four ingredients for a delicious and creamy tile with a base of crunchy wafers.
Those who read me know that I am not a fan of heavy and super chocolaty desserts, but every now and then it has to be done, and here it is.
This log is certainly not light, but it is really good! I mean, with Nutella, chocolate and cream you can't go wrong, the final touch of powdered cocoa the cherry on top of the cake. For the base I opted for the vanilla flavored wafers instead of the hazelnut classic ones because the vanilla ones give me the idea of being lighter, just to try to compensate for the rest (as if it was even possible). You can use the wafers only for the base as I did or add an middle layer between cream and Nutella for more crunchiness.

Servings plum-cake tin
Ingredients
300 gr of dark chocolate
200 gr of vanilla wafers
500 gr of fresh cream
Nutella q.s.
Unsweetened cocoa powder q.s.
Method
1. Finely chop the chocolate and add it to a bowl. Bring the cream almost to the boil, once hot pour it into the chocolate and mix until well blended. Leave to cool and refrigerate for about an hour
2. After resting time, with the help of a mixer, whip the chocolate ganache. Separately, chop 70 g of wafers and add them to the chocolate mixture. Line a plum-cake tin with parchment paper
3. Pour a first layer with half of the mixture into the tin. In the middle add the nutella and then a second layer of ganache. Level well and cover the surface with a layer of wafer
4. Place in the freezer for at least two hours. When serving, remove the log from the tin and turn it over on a tray, sprinkle the whole surface with powdered cocoa
